Sam Allardyce is better off without West Ham
|
Bolton, Newcastle and Blackburn all failed to improve after Big Sam departed. Who would do a better job than Allerdicio?

Gentile 11:46 A serious question Gentile. How often do you actually attend live games having bought a ticket?

No need to sack him just wait for his contract to expire.

I think the main reason they fail is because at Bolton and Blackburn they tried to give SA's 2nd in command a promotion. Probably on the advice of SA! Sammy Lee and Steve Kean. Newcastle went for their Messiah's - Keegan and then Shearer because they were fans' favourites.
I think G&S will have someone special lined up by the summer otherwise SA will get another chance. There's no point sacking a manager unless you are sure you have someone better and I think that search is going on right now....
No SA is not better off without WH. He is on his last chance to prove he could manage at the top because that is where WH are going imo....

I would take him purely for showing the team his tricks on the training ground

How many seasons have West Ham not been in the Premiership since it started? another Allardyce apologist with no idea about the club and it's history no doubt.

I'm sure it's been said but I haven't been bothered to read through but there are many reasons teams fail once Sam leaves them.
The main one being that he makes good players play a way that is foreign to them, and builds a squad that is made to only play his way. A new manager, with new ideas then struggles with what is left....

I agree David. He'd be even better at a club that appreciates him but not a club with ambitions...

4 years of listening to this cunts self proclaimed genius is more than enough, close the door if you can still fit through it on the way out Samuel.

I've just been through this thread again and there are some really good points in here - noticeably i-Ron's about who Newcastle, Bolton and Blackburn appointed after SA. For that reason I think SA needs WH more than WH need SA.
I'll lay £1 to 1p that if DS decides he needs a new manager he won't be in a mood to take a chance on another Avram Grant. It will have to be someone that is a step up on SA. This isn't Birmingham City where a punt might be worth it. WH need a known manager that has excellent winning experience or SA will do for another 2 seasons....

PD If Allardyce wants to stay in London, there are only two possibilities really, that's why I mentioned them. And QPR havnt gone down yet!

This Fulham thing again. Like him or not he is a PL manager, he won't be going to the Championship, he will get offers from PL clubs, guaranteed. And the majority of owners are wealthy men.

I would imagine Curtis has already sounded out Fulham and QPR about the walrus's possible availability this summer, hence the alleged 'playing hardball in negotiations ' with Sullivan in May. The Fulham owner is a wealthy man so may be in a position to offer more money or a longer contract than us.
Judging from the recent podcast on Kumb, young David junior was supportive of Allardyce, obviously warned by his father not to say anything derogatory. He came over very well actually for an 18 year old, but added that his younger brother Jack is the one with ambitions at West Ham if their father falls under a bus.
